Biography

Gina is a second year Master’s student at the University of Michigan School of Public Health completing her internship in the Health Behavior Health Education Department as a member of the HBHE Genetics Research Group.  She also works as a data manager at the University of Michigan Department of Internal Medicine in the Division of Metabolism, Diabetes, and Endocrinology. Beginning with her undergraduate career at Smith College, Gina continues to immerse her career and interests in public health and clinical research. As a research associate in the HBHE Genetics Research Group, she supports several research projects, including her main project, the Risk Evaluation and Education for Alzheimer’s Disease Study (REVEAL). Gina’s other interests include the American healthcare system, specifically access to and quality of care, and the way in which healthcare is delivered. She believes that understanding such integral components of our healthcare system will facilitate our understanding and improvement of our health behaviors.
